Sachin Patel, M.D., Ph.D., is James G. Blakemore Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, professor of molecular physiology and biophysics, and director of the Division of Addiction Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His research program seeks to understand the adaptations in endocannabinoid signaling that occur in response to stress, and to uncover novel biomarkers and pharmacological targets for drug development.
