Irina De la Huerta, M.D., Ph.D., is an assistant professor and clinician-scientist at Vanderbilt Eye Institute who treats adults and children with retinal diseases. Her research investigates the hypothesis that photoreceptors accelerate the development of retinal vascular diseases such as retinopathy of prematurity and diabetic retinopathy.
