David J. Calkins, Ph.D., is O’day Professor and vice chair for strategy at Vanderbilt Eye Institute, assistant vice president for research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and director of the Vanderbilt Vision Research Center. His research focuses on systems, cellular, and molecular approaches to investigating neurodegeneration in glaucoma.
