Kevin C. Ess, M.D., Ph.D., is Gerald M. Fenichel Chair in Neurology; director of the Division of Pediatric Neurology; and an associate professor of pediatrics, neurology, cell and developmental biology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His research focuses on deciphering the molecular mechanisms required for normal brain development and how disruptions of these processes lead to malformations of the cerebral cortex.
