Cathy Maxwell, Ph.D., R.N., F.A.A.N., is assistant professor and a 2019-2020 Valere Potter Distinguished Dean’s Faculty Fellow at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Her research focuses on communications about aging and understanding outcome trajectories of older adults after physical injury, and development and implementation of interventions to facilitate patient-centered, post-injury care.
