Lynne Warner Stevenson, M.D., is director of cardiomyopathy and training director for fellows in advanced heart disease at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her physiologic principles are recognized worldwide in textbooks and guidelines for heart failure, and she helped establish the Intermacs Registry for Mechanical Circulatory Support. Stevenson is investigating how to personalize therapies for cardiomyopathy from early to late, in which ambulatory hemodynamic monitoring is evolving to empower patients into better disease trajectories.
