Rei Ukita, Ph.D., is a research assistant professor in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His work focuses on large pre-clinical models for progressive right ventricular loading and unloading via pulmonary artery banding, development of next-generation mechanical support technology, and surface-focused anticoagulation approaches in blood-contacting technology.
