W. David Merryman, Ph.D., is Walters Family Chair of Biomedical Engineering and a professor of pharmacology, medicine and pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His laboratory’s main focus is on how mechanical forces lead to fibrosis, primarily in cardiovascular and renal disease.
