Women are at risk for unique medical conditions throughout their lifespan, highlighting the need for sex-specific care. The symposium will provide a unique, case-based educational program to strengthen clinical knowledge of cardiovascular and neurologic care for female patients.
Expert faculty from Vanderbilt University Medical Center will discuss key issues in the care of both reproductive age and postmenopausal patients, as well as provide break-out sessions for cardiac and neurological topics, including:
- Hypertension Management in Women
- Medical Weight Loss
- Autonomic Dysfunction
- Hormone Replacement Therapy in Medically Complex Patients
- Contraception Counseling for Patients with Cardiovascular and Neurologic Conditions
- Cognitive Function in Women
- Coronary Microvascular Dysfunction
- Managing Epilepsy, Migraines and MS in Pregnancy
This event is well-suited for physicians, advanced practice practitioners and nurses. This activity is approved for 7.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
